Privacy Policy

Sustainable Real Estate Solutions, Inc., (SRS) is committed to respecting your privacy. This policy describes the ways that personally identifiable and anonymous information about our subscribers is collected, how that information might be shared, and how you can request changes to the way your personal information is used or shared. This policy may change from time to time, so please check back periodically. This policy answers:

  1. What personally identifiable information is collected from me?
  2. What are cookies and clear gifs, and how they are used by SRS?
  3. How is my information used?
  4. Who is collecting my information?
  5. With whom will my information be shared?
  6. How can I access, update, or delete my information?
  7. What else should I know about my privacy?
  8. Other legal notices.

1. What personally identifiable information is collected from me?

On some SRS web pages, you can make requests and/or receive materials. The types of personal information collected on these pages, if you choose to provide it, are your name, e-mail address, and standard contact information, including address and phone number. We may also ask you to voluntarily provide us with information regarding your personal or professional interests, demographics, experience with the products and services we provide, and contact preferences. Wherever SRS collects personal information, we make an effort to include a link to this policy on that page.

2. What are cookies and clear gifs, and how are they used by SRS?

SRS and our third-party advertisers may use internet cookies. Internet cookies are small files that may be placed on your hard disk for record-keeping purposes. Cookies are used to (a) remind us of who you are so we can deliver you better service; (b) estimate our audience size by determining repeat usage of this website to help target content based on user interests and behavior; (c) track your progress and entries in promotions, sweepstakes, and contests, if any; and (d) measure certain traffic patterns for use as a research tool so we can understand how our users’ habits are similar or different from one another. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether to accept it. By not accepting cookies, some web pages may not display properly or you may not be permitted to access certain information.

SRS may also collect IP addresses (the internet address of a computer) to track a user’s session while the user remains anonymous. We analyze this data for certain trends, such as which parts of our site users are visiting and how long they spend there. In general, we do not link your IP addresses to anything personally identifiable to you.

SRS and our third-party advertising partners may employ a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. pixel tags/web beacons/web bugs), that help us better manage content on our site by informing us which content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly in HTML content and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We may tie the information gathered by clear gifs to our users’ personally identifiable information.

We may use clear gifs in our HTML-based emails to let us know which emails have been opened by recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications. If you would like to opt out of these emails, see
"How do I access, update or delete my information?"  below. You may disable clear gifs by setting your browser and e-mail software to omit images and disable Javascript.

3. How is my information used?

The information you provide will be used to support your user relationship with SRS. Your information may be shared with agents, contractors, business partners, and other individuals or businesses with which we may have a commercial relationship.

We want to help you quickly find information on SRS’s website and alert you to specific offers, updated information, and other new products and services. Accordingly, we may send you direct mailings or contact you by telephone about our various products and services or other products and services we feel may be of interest to you. If you do not wish to receive such mailings, simply opt out by contacting info@paceworx.com. We may also use your contact information to ask for your input to help with research about our services, events, or products, or to provide you with additional information about this site and about other SRS products, services, or events that we think might be of interest to you. All promotional and research e-mail messages you receive from us will include an option to opt out of future e-mail communications from that particular SRS business. We may also send you e-mail newsletters. Each e-mail newsletter will provide you with an opportunity to opt out of that particular e-mail newsletter.

Notwithstanding, SRS does conduct research on our users’ demographics, interests and behavior based on the information provided to us during your use of the SRS website. This research is compiled and analyzed on an aggregated basis. Aggregated data does not include personally identifiable information. SRS may share aggregated data with others.

4. What information do third party advertisers (such as Google) collect on our site?

We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads to you when you visit our website. These companies may use information (not including your name, address, email address, or telephone number) about your visits to this website to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.

5. Who is collecting my information?

SRS, our advertisers, and websites that have links on our site may collect personally identifiable information about you. The information practices of those websites linked to SRS either through advertisements or other hyperlinks is not covered by this privacy statement.

6. With whom does SRS share my information?

We may share the personal data you provide with other SRS agents, contractors, business partners, or other individuals or businesses with which we may have a commercial relationship. When we contract with other companies to provide us with services, we only share personal information with those that we believe share our commitment to privacy and information security. However, we are not responsible for any breach of security or for the actions of these parties. Due to the design of the internet and other factors outside our control, we cannot guarantee that communications between you and our servers will be free from unauthorized access by third parties. SRS also may share aggregated data with others. Aggregated data does not include personally identifiable information. We reserve the right to share information to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of the Terms of Use, or as otherwise required by law. We also reserve the right to access and disclose personally identifiable information as we deem necessary to protect the website, the content of the website, or at the request of law enforcement personnel or agencies. If SRS or a SRS website goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of assets resulting in a change of control of the website, your personally identifiable information will likely be among the assets transferred. You will be notified via notice on our website of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.

7. How do I access, update or delete my information?

You can request the individual information that SRS has collected about you, correct factual inaccuracies in your information, remove personal information from SRS’s databases, opt out of receiving information in the future and/or update your personal information by contacting info@paceworx.com.

8. What else should I know about my privacy?

Third-party internet sites and services accessible through SRS have separate privacy and data collection practices, independent of us. SRS has no responsibility or liability for these independent policies or actions. Please be careful and responsible online. If you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return. While we strive to protect your information, SRS cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information through the transmission process and you do so at your own risk.

9. Other Legal Notices.

Your continued use of this website or receipt of e-mail newsletters and other e-mails from us constitutes your acceptance of this entire privacy statement. Any dispute over privacy is subject to this privacy policy and our Terms of Use , including limitations on damages and application of the law of the State of Connecticut. If you have any concern about your privacy in connection with this policy or wish to contact SRS’s corporate privacy manager, please send us an e-mail to info@paceworx.com and we will try to resolve it. We may post a revised privacy policy on our site. Please note that the use of information that we gather is subject to the privacy notice in effect at the time of use. You should check our website frequently to see recent changes.

SRS’s websites are not intended for use by children, especially those under the age of 13. No one under age 13 should provide any personal information or participate in any forums, chats, or online discussions. Minors under the age of 18 are prohibited from making purchases, including subscriptions, on our sites.
